OP's issues don't seem to be related with drivers, though. If they crash, you'll either get a reboot without warning, a BSOD, a full system freeze (can't even move the mouse cursor) or, at best (or should I say worst?), erratic system behavior which will quickly result in a BSOD. Also, it won't cause the game to hang to the point where not even Alt+Tab works. I'm sure OP has already seen and responded to it. This happens right as the game starts for the first time. If you're talking about the firewall popup that asks the user to allow or deny connections to private/public networks, then the game should minimize automatically.
